We respond, that to be assured a spot in paradise, eliminating a killer of children, such as bin Laden, would do the trick, as all the teachings of Islam indisputably confirm. The Essence of this web site: A Realistic Path to Reconciliation
Only by first becoming aware of, then acknowledging, then dealing with the truth of the wrongs on either side can we reach a meeting point and begin a healing process that will eventually close the gap between the West and the Muslim world. Neither side should believe they can live forever in fantasy-land bubbles created to give them peace of mind and psychological security either by burying their heads in the sand and living in denial of wrongs they wish to ignore, or by constantly bashing others to draw attention away from their own ills. We are here to expose wrongs on all sides.
We lay out on the table the negatives in the west and in the Muslim world, past and present, as well as the positives in the west and in the Muslim world, past and present, so as to make a meeting point between east and west more attainable.
At present the prevalent scenario is that the west is great and the Muslim world is bad. As we show on this web site, that is not only not true, but absolutely untrue, and indeed, quite the contrary in many cases. We demonstrate that fact through very well documented evidence that is well substantiated, critically analysed and objectively recorded in our writings.
Since the wrongs of the Muslim world have been addressed and repeated in the west it seems ad nauseam, we focus more here on refuting some of the less justifiable, or even fully unjustifiable, attacks on Muslims, the kinds of attacks that are made more out of hate than a concern for reform in the Muslim world.
In conjunction with that approach, our focus also encompasses exposing the negatives in the west's history and present which many in the west are doing their best to keep under the rug, while they tout what are basically untruths about the west.
By applying those two approaches - refuting unjustified attacks on Muslims and exposing the wrongs of the west - we aspire to make the playing field more level, and therefore give genuine peace, harmony, and understanding, a better chance of being realised. A meeting point can never be reached when one side incessantly bashes the other while simultaneously overlooking its own shortcomings. Such an approach cannot be conducive to peace and harmony, it alienates and creates hate.
We hope that just as we appreciate exposing the wrongs of the Muslim world, the west will be gracious enough to accept its wrongs being exposed as well, so that we may begin a healing process that might eventually bring us all closer together - we in the west and the Muslim world.
There's no such thing as an all bad race, faith or nationality. If there's any group in the world deserving of negative stereotyping it's the extremists found in all faiths, races and nationalities.

Between America and Canada, over 18,000 - yes 18,000 - people were killed in a single year (2006) as a result of drinking a lethal, backward, uncivilized chemical sold in every neighbourhood in the western world, and then driving.
The number of injured due to that chemical is over half a million, including the countless numbers of permanently disabled.

The worst atrocities possible: Torturing and sadistically treating people who are at one's mercy or come under one's power, a conduct reserved for the likes of the Nazis.
The Nazis believed they represented the height of civilization and human sophistication. In fact, we now know they represented the height of savagery.
Torture: The most telling of evils, committed by nations that incessantly trumpet their "civilized" conduct. Fortunately the vast majority by far oppose it. See next item.
And let's never forget what the bulk of decent, kind, compassionate American soldiers are like.

Terrorism, militarism, and violence are the product of specific problems and grievances not religious followings. If anything, Muslims are incomparably lagging far behind Christians where violence is concerned.
Indeed, 9/11 provided indisputable and conclusive evidence for that. Read a number of articles dealing with the matter and establishing that view, and unequivocally and without reservation - or buts or ifs - condemning terrorism and the likes of Osama bin Laden.
REMINDER: HasM has no interest whatsoever, indeed it saddens it, and it's a burden upon it, to point out comparisons between religions or different groups - the west, Christianity, etc. - but it's hand is forced by those who relentlessly direct hate, vilification, and denigration at Muslims.
Unfortunately, in responding to hate attacks one is forced to make comparisons. However, wherever we can, we do our best to keep as closely as possible to refuting the attacks without pointing out or emphasizing the ills of the attackers' group. We hold the position that the haters are exceptions in the groups they belong to, not the norm. We do not, in the least manner, care to upset the good members of the groups that such haters belong to (at least nominally), whether they be "the West", white, Christian, Jewish, Hindu, atheist, or whatever.
We ache as we find ourselves cornered into responding in a manner we would never have, had our hand not been forced.

In the future, today may dismay
...Some day in the future, Canadians will look back upon hate-filled articles, columns, and the such that appeared in our mainstream media today with great dismay, shock and embarrassment and perhaps great upset. That will be for either of two reasons....
Bigots: We’re in good company
...It’s a well-documented fact that some racist German media members, who incited hate against Jews, mingled with the upper echelons of the racist Nazi leadership. They too must have felt they were in good company and wore the label of "anti-Semite" as a badge of honour.
Well, they were still in that same "good company" at the Nuremberg trials. The "good company", it turned out, was actually the most evil "company" imaginable.....
....what may seem like something respectable, admired, popular, and innocuous under prevalent circumstances which cloak its real evil with a veil of respectability and innocence, may be exposed later to have been playing a monstrous or destructive role...
Describing, identifying, and spotting Hate Speech against Muslims, and distinguishing it from objective criticism.
...When the Kosovars were being ethnically cleansed in heart-wrenching scenes where the elderly were being carted in wheelbarrows, the children barely able to walk, we had haters writing it was no big deal and that it was not worth destroying the infrastructure of Serbia! Typical Nazi collaborators' and supporters' lingo of the past....
...We need to remember that The Holocaust was facilitated by the combination of haters - anti-Semites - who were given space in the media, and a leadership that shared their premise that Jews deserved to be hated. If that combination ever comes about again in a predisposed western nation with Muslims as the target group, there is nothing to stop another holocaust from occuring. The descendents of The Holocaust perpetrators are the same, the nations are the same, the circumstances will be the same...
Hate Speech versus offensive speech; versus criticism
...But the example most relevant to our case hails from Germany's Third Reich, where free speech was totally censored by the Nazis with regards to criticising the
governing party, but hate against the Jews was given a free hand - read "free speech" - while condemning such hate wasn't given a free hand - read "censorship".
It was an evil
"free speech" and a reversed "censorship" against those who would challenge that evil "free speech". That's why labels such as free speech and censorship are worthless in assessing complex issues.
But it's a good example of precisely what Maclean's - a Canadian national mainstream magazine, as an entity, did. It allowed intolerance and hate dissemination on its pages, but practiced censorship against
those who wanted to challenge the hate on its pages, or to hold it accountable for allowing it! The typical totalitarian regime behaviour....
The Holocaust is not diminished by the Nakba, and the Nakba is not diminished by The Holocaust.
There is a tendency among some to belittle, ignore, deny, or trivialise the Holocaust on account of the "Naqba" (Arabic for "catastrophe"; the consequences of the creation of Israel to the Palestinians, the loss of their land and their lives).
